I bought one of these units and also a 2 zone unit and put them in service at the beginning of June 2010. They look really nice, are mostly quiet, and kick out lots of cold air. The "swing" mode for the vanes results in a plastic on plastic grinding sound - I have 5 of these units and 3 of them make the sound - i'm considering getting a replacement part, but I suspect its a design flaw and i'll just end up the same place. The vanes are hard to aim - you press the remote and wait for them to oscillate to where you want, but by the time you press the button and it stops, they have moved on. The temperature control is imprecise, and 76=75, 74=72 etc., so it takes a while to learn where to set them. The timed on-off on the remote is only good for one cycle, then you have to set it again for the next day. The Mitsubishi's are much higher quality (see my review for the i-see units). But, the LG was more economical and looks better and I needed a tandem and a tri-zone unit.
