I tried to place an order online and get the error message "AVS mismatch", what does this mean?

The Address Verification Service (AVS) is a risk management tool for merchants accepting transactions in which neither the card nor the cardholder are present (e.g., mail, telephone order, Internet transactions), or in which the card is present but its magnetic stripe cannot be read by a terminal at the point of sale. AVS helps reduce the risk of accepting fraudulent transactions by facilitating verification of the cardholder's billing address with the card issuer. If this error message is displayed you must contact your credit card company and assure the information your credit card issuers (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) display reflects what your billing address is not what your shipping address is or will be. If your credit card / debit card company do not subscribe to AVS, you must seek an alternative form of payment. (e.g., another credit card or paypal)

My error was the "AVS" but now my bank tells me that they approved it and I don't have an order placed. Where are my funds?

In the event of the error "AVS mismatch" your credit card company approves the transaction but GoDuctless declines it. GoDuctless will not act upon the funds in this event. Immediately after a decline from GoDuctless, the transaction information is sent back to the credit card stating that is has been declined and no further actions will be taken. The funds will be available to your credit card once they process the canceled transaction.

Why was my credit / debit card declined when I know for certain that I have the funds available? How do I resubmit my order?

A credit card charge can be declined due to incorrectly-entered credit card number or expiration date, a daily spending limit, insufficient credit or other reasons. If the information you submitted was correct, then the reason could be that your bank or credit card company simply did not authorize us to charge the card.

Follow the steps below:

Step 1:
Please re-enter your credit card information and/or to update or charge your payment method. You will then receive a 'real time' authorization for the charge of your credit card.

Step 2: If your credit card is still declined, please contact your credit card company as soon as possible and let them know you placed an order with GoDuctless, and find out why they would not authorize us to charge your card.

After they have confirmed it is ok for us to re-authorize the payment, go back to step 1 and resubmit your order.

Do I have to pay sales tax?
 

Sales tax is a complicated issue, but we've made it extremely simple.

You will NEVER pay SALES TAX at GoDuctless.com

How we do it?
By law we are required to collect sales tax if we make a sale in the same state where we have facilities in. Because we only operate our facility in one state, it is unlikely that we will need to collect sales tax on the majority of orders.

If you happen to live in Florida, we will pay the sales tax for you. In those instances, we will graciously accept the loss, hoping the simplicity will reward us with more customers in the long run.

  Credits usually take 7-10 business days from the time we receive your item(s).
When will my credit card be charged?
  Your credit card will be charged within 24 hours prior to shipment of your item(s).
